Pasco County Recycling Office
Pasco County has a decades-long
history of recycling.
Some of the programs include the “Art of Recycling” competition which takes
place every February. Cash prizes are awarded to winning students and much of
the art work is displayed in County Offices. This competition requires all submitted
artwork have an environmental theme
and that 70% of each project uses recycled materials.
All year
long Pasco County Recycling Office sponsors
events that highlight the need to recycle while offering an
opportunity to recycle and educate young students and all county
residents as to the need… now and into our future.
The March for Parks, Great American Clean-up, Coastal Clean-up,
Earth Day and Adopt-A-Road Programs allow citizens of all ages and public and
private sponsors an opportunity to recycle and contribute to Pasco
County. Many of these programs have allowed high school students to earn the
community service hours needed to fill the Bright Futures Scholarship
requirements. Check newspaper and website listings for the next Recycling Event
in your area.
Make sure to check the www.pascoecofest.com website for schedule and location for all events.
