DeChant Public Relations & Media Management is a company built on community. Our clients are businesses, organizations and individuals who are working to have a positive impact on the community around us, both local and on line, and it is our job to promote them and ensure their continued success in their endeavors. We cover all aspects of public relations and marketing, both through traditional media and online communication tools. Marilynn deChant is the founder of the company and has been a part of the New Port Richey community for over 30 years. Lia Gallegos is her partner and has been involved in the community for 10 years.

Lia handles the online side of the PR for clients: Facebook & twitter management, online calendars, directories, monitor for mentions, blogs, etc. as well as assist clients with developing their websites. Lia also provides consulting to clients who want to manage their own online and help guide them through the process of learning how to understand and use social media and the online world to their benefit, ethically.

Lia is also a graphic designer, so if clients need to freshen up their business cards, rebrand themselves with a new look, new logo, I work with them to determine the visual message they want to present.

Mostly, the team works with clients to understand the basics of marketing, developing their USP (unique selling position) or ‘what makes you special’ and creating a plan of action that will help them promote those points of interest.

Both have years of experience with event planning, and are often called up on by clients to assist with some aspects of event planning and promotion.
